Measuring 5.75”x 5.5” watercolor on cotton paper- unframed
From my ongoing series, “Sleeping Beasts”, this original watercolor study captures a quiet moment in a mist-shrouded forest. A great stone creature rests between two trees, its lids heavy and half-closed in the haze of oncoming slumber. Moss and delicate swirling etchings trace across its surface, suggesting age, memory, and the slow breath of the earth itself.
Painted in soft washes of green and gray, the scene hums with quiet reverence- a glimpse of the spirit that lies beneath root and stone.
This series is a meditation on the interaction between humanity and nature, and the celebration of myth and imagination.
